How many times have you been watching a successful teacher or mentor talk about inner peace, ease, success, or feeling of abundance and thought to yourself…

“Easy for THEM to say!”

Don’t worry, if you’ve thought this you’re in good company. Almost everyone has this internal voice, and we have it because we picked it up from our environment. We’ve heard people say that, and so that’s what we say. It seems rational and reasonable enough right?

I, personally, have to laugh at myself when my mind says this. It rarely does anymore but it used to say it ALL…

Many times in business and in life we get asked to give of our time and services. Often this comes in the form of people asking for free work, or discounts, or perhaps some kind of ‘mutually beneficial’ collaboration. And when that happens, you may feel conflicted and confused, and you may wonder to yourself something like the following:

“HOW do I give from the heart and help people which is a GENUINE and REAL desire of mine and still honor my own intuition, red flags, boundaries and pricing? How do I know if it’s a real desire to help…

Much of my life over the past couple of decades has been like a game of dare between me, and me. Between my old self and my new self. Between who I really am, and who I THINK I am. Between my soul and my societal conditioning.

Sometimes it seems like it’s between me and “the world”, or me and “reality”, or me and “the rules” but it’s still and always only ever between me and me.

The game goes something like this:

Me: “I want to do, be, or have this “ (insert something I’ve never done, been, or had)

My Conditioning: “Are you fucking…

I write a lot about creating more ease in your life and business, but I need to clarify the meaning of that and make a distinction between ‘ easy ‘ and ‘ease’.

When I set out to create more “ease” in my business and life, what I meant to create with that was less struggle, less hustle, less doing, and more BEING. Less forcing, and more flowing. Less compromising, and more creating. Less fight, and more freedom.

On a deeper level, what “ease” really means is peace. The deep peace that you feel when you’re doing what’s in alignment with…

I don’t know about you, but for all of my adult life I have felt like I am somehow not really an adult, that other people are real grown ups but not me, that I am not mature enough, not grown up enough. That other people have got this adult thing all figured out and they’ve got it down pat, but I’m behind the ball.

And this feeling has not changed no matter how many “successes” or money I seem to have. There will be short lived periods where I feel like I’ve totally got it nailed and that’s about…

A really silly thing that we humans do is try to save ourselves from feeling disappointed by CREATING the disappointment to begin with instead.

This might look like: not trying something in order to avoid possible failure and disappointment, by instead creating the failure and disappointment UP FRONT by telling yourself that it will probably be a failure and disappointment. 😆

You’re still experiencing the disappointment! And you’re even experiencing the failure too ( because you’ve told yourself you’re not capable of that in that moment), you’re just doing it in a way that you perceive as more manageable, because…

If you think you don’t have any money blocks, or that you’ve “already worked on your money blocks”, try bringing some awareness to how often you justify the good in your life by mentioning the bad.

Examples of this could look something like this:

• Telling someone you’re going on vacation, while also mentioning how long it has been since you’ve had a vacation and how stressed you’ve been so that they don’t think you’re a spoiled asshole for going on vacation. ( I catch myself doing this still, and I teach this stuff).

• Sharing a win with someone, but feeling the strong need to mention pain…

Remember when watching a movie at home involved the following steps?…

1. drive down to a video rental store

2. spend probably 30 minutes to an hour looking for a movie

3. pay for said movies rental fees

4. drive home

5. watch said movies

6. have to drive all the way back to the video rental store to return

7. probably don’t do it on time because, life.

8. rack up a bunch of late return fees and end up paying about 3–4x the rental amount for said movies

9. the next time you want to watch a movie…

$250,000 for a few minutes in an anti-gravity chamber? It’s true.

Did you know that there are people in the world who spend $250,000 for a few minutes in an anti-gravity chamber? It’s true. And while they do that, other people in the world spend $250,000 for a 2-week vacation, and other people spend $250,000 on a necklace, and other people spend $250,000 on a rug, and other people spend $250,000 on a house.

If this is triggering for you, stay with me…

The thing is, the person who’s dropping $250k for a few minutes in anti-gravity at a space center is probably spending an equivalent percentage of their income as…

Over the course of my life, I have been two kinds of people: a person who loves wonder, and magic, and personal growth and ambition and all things woo ( you know, basically like the heart-eyes emoji in human form) … and a person who makes fun of those people, detests all forms of personal growth, and rolls her eyes at ambition and at woo.

And while both of these sides have served me at different times in my life, for different reasons, I now know that for me personally, the latter was merely a form of self-protection, and not…
